The 2010/2011 Julian Middle School PTO
Fall Round Special Project Funding Program

for requests over $500*

Dear Teachers, Staff and Parents,

Do you have a great idea for a school program? Have you been talking with another teacher about a great but unfunded student opportunity? The Julian Middle School PTO is again able to support a yearly competition for special project funding.

WHO: The Julian PTO will award up to $5,000 in the 2010/11 school year.

WHEN: There will be a Fall/Winter round and Spring round (assuming available remaining funds) of funding. The deadline for the Fall/Winter round of requests is the Monday before the bi-monthly meeting.

COMMITTEE: Proposals will be reviewed by the PTO Budget Committee, Treasurer, PTO Co-Presidents, and Principal Dr. Sharts. Final approval of recommended proposals will be by the full PTO at the bi-monthly meeting.

WHERE: Proposals should be dropped off in the PTO Treasurer’s mailbox in the Julian main office.

WHAT: Project funding must be expended before the last day of the school year.

Requests should keep in the mind the Julian PTO Mission Statement:

• To promote the welfare of youth in home, school, and community
• To bring into closer relationship the home and school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of youth
• To develop united efforts between educators and the general public, that will secure for all youth the highest advantages in mental, physical, and social education.
